Online Access
TourPedia provides two ways to access places: directly or indirectly. Direct access assumes that you know in advance the unique identifier of the place, while indirect access allows you to query the system.
Direct Access
Direct access allows you to access the information about a place. Data can be accessed in different formats: JSON, HTML and RDF/XML:
- JSON: the URL to access the JSON version of a place is: http://tour-pedia.org/db/ID, where ID represents the identifier of the place. Here the example for Hotel Bologna in Pisa: http://tour-pedia.org/db/204042.
- RDF/XML and HTML: the URL to access the Linked Data version of a place is: http://tour-pedia.org/resource/cat-ID, where cat is: acco, rest, attr or poi. The HTTP content negotiation process will redirect to the correct page, according to the nature of your client. Here the example for Hotel Bologna in Pisa: http://tour-pedia.org/resource/acco-204042.
Indirect Access
Indirect access allows you to query the dataset and get useful information. It can be done in two ways:
- Web API
- SPARQL engine: here the example to get all the accommodations in Tuscany, which provide terrace as service.
Other tools
TourPedia can be accessed also through other two tools:
